Fall Newsletter 2014
Fall lessons are now on. If you would like lessons, please call now because times are very tight.
This past summer I participated in a number of education related activities starting with Jazz camp in Louisville Kentucky. One week of jazz drumming and jazz education. I've returned with some new fresh ideas on teaching jazz. Next up was a weekend at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto attending workshops on music technology and on-line teaching. This was followed that up with a trip to Oxford England to enjoy a week of music fun learning how composers write an Opera. a highlight was staying at Christ Church College. Think Harry Potter.
In between all this I taught in Ottawa, Edmonton, and Thunder Bay at the Conservatory Canada keyboard camps and gave lessons at home
Whew!
Cheers,
David

Summer Classes
Fall Classes
Time to book your spot. There is a new time and day assignment planned. If you have friends who would like lessons or to change your times, please tell me promptly. I have a few open spots due to teenagers leaving for university. I now offer beginning drum lessons.
“New” Group Keyboard Ensemble
This fall there will be a group performance class for students aged 8 to 12 class on Saturdays. In January, it will change it over to teenagers. The group will meet for 90 minutes twice monthly and perform on the iPad, iPhones, and portable keyboards. We will play pop, boogie-woogie, and classical music. The children will receive their music in advance, it will be simple, and then we will work together in an ensemble setting preparing for the New Year Concert in January. The second group will prepare for the June concert.
What will they learn?
